Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Austin
Saturday, January 16th, 2010Celebrate MLK Day in Austin, TX, Monday, Jan. 18. Texas State Employees Union will meet at 9:45 am at the AFL-CIO (11th & LaVaca, limited parking available), join the 10 am event at the Capitol, and march with our banner. Dominican Joe’s (515 S. Congress) holds an all-day Haiti disaster relief fundraiser also on Monday (http://www.dominicanjoe.com/haiti/).

The Austin Area Heritage Council also sponsors a festival at Huston-Tillotson University immediately following the march.
