This month’s Iraq Moratorium event is tomorrow (Friday) on 11th St. in front of the Capitol in Austin, 5 – 6pm.
Emphasis is THE COST OF WAR.
CODEPINK will bring the “$3 trillion” sign.

Outside of Dobie Mall near the UT campus, Guadalupe & 21st St., Austin

This antiwar action will also call attention to the dishonest recruitment practices by the US military and the recruitment office inside the Dobie.

Join CodePink and other Austin groups Friday for this month’s Iraq Moratorium event:  In front of the Capitol, on 11th Street at Congress Avenue, 5 – 6 pm.   CodePink will have a theme of “No More Funding,” and Cost of War–$3 trillion.

The Iraq Moratorium–every third Friday until the war ends.

On the third Friday of every month several Austin groups participate in
Iraq Moratorium events.
This Friday, May 16, 2008, from 5-6, we will gather in front of the Capitol, 11th & Congress.
We are encouraging banners representing the different groups
participating.

U.S. Labor Against the War is a national sponsor of the Iraq Moratorium:
On the 3rd Friday of each month starting September 21, 2007, all those who oppose the Iraq war and occupation are asked to take some action to express that opposition publicly and/or to their elected representatives. Learn at www.iraqmoratorium.org.

April’s Iraq Moratorium, sponsored by CODE PINK, will be at the corner of 6th and Lamar (near Whole Foods & Book People), starting at 5 pm.

The message will focus on Texas Senator John Cornyn and his horrifying record. Code Pink members will wear black and have white death masks/faces. They ask folks to try to stick with this message.

Instead of being in front of Cornyn’s office, this event is happening at 6th and Lamar for more visibility.
